chaeto overgrowth question?

can I have to much chaeto in my tank? it grows like crazy but im noticing my corals seem to not be opening as much and things look like they are deprived of nutrients as far as my LPS corals go. sps and zoos and shrooms all seem fine. just a weird question

There are some studies done on chemical warfare between softies and chaeto. I've never noticed my corals unhappy in the presence of chaeto, however.
Whats your setup like?
