Spa-Flex 1.25" ID fits 1" PVC coupler ...huh?

So, I want to put some Spa Flex into my rigid 1" pvc return line, but HD only had Spa Flex with a 1.25" ID, so I figured I would use reducing bushings. But wait....

It seems the 1" PVC coupler fits snuggling AROUND the 1.25" ID Spa Flex! What the heck! How is that even possible.

Nevermind...just checked the coupler. It's not 1" ......turns out the world has not gone mad. my mistake!
