The return pump that the biocube came with is running loudly. I unhooked it and its been hard to get it back on properly. Can I glue the tubing onto the return nozzle?
Also- need a new glass canopy. Lost in a move.
Ideas?

I zip tied the hose to the return outlet and replaced the pump with a cobalt 1200 super quiet

I made a mesh top for mine. I bought the kit from BRS. It works great. 206487

The zip tie is a great idea. Thank you!
Can I just replace it with any pump or does it need to push a certain amount of water for the 29?
Avelino- Do you have the HQI? Its ok to put the mesh under the metal halide?

Also Avelino- which kit did you buy from the site? Does it substantially cut back on dirt/etc falling into the top of it?

I have the HQI and the 1/4 netting was fine. I think it's fine I'm sure dust gets in but I haven't has any issues.

You can use any pump that fits... I zip tied after coming home to a fountain. Luckily the fountain was aimed into the tank because I took the left hand cover off and put a fan over it.
What lights are you guys using? I was convinced my Phoenix 14k bulb was burning my coral (uv damage) so I put the glass back on.

I switched to the radions led. I have seen better coral growth and I can have the lights on longer. 206681
