Hello all!
I'm bored on this Sunday morning so thought I'd take some pics of the tank to share with you guys! I live in Southern Manitoba, hence where the name of the thread came from
I've been in the hobby of aquariums for 15ish years, all freshwater stuff before this but have always wanted to do a saltwater tank. Back in May of this year I decided to pull the trigger and finally set up a tank. After speaking with some local saltwater guys and figuring out what I needed to get started I set out buying everything I'd need for the tank and went a little over budget but hey, who's keeping track lol
I decided for my first tank to do a 70G reef tank with a 20G sump. After a few bumps in the road (drilling out the overflow myself only to find that it had cracked the glass and then removing the rear glass to have it replaced and smartening up and getting it drilled professionally) I started the process of getting my tank up and running.
Here's some pics of the tank as it sits now, 6 months later

My Mandarin. My mom almost cried when she saw this! My whole family loved water, we all have our scuba diving certification and my parents usually plan their trips around dive locations. On one trip, I forget where they said it was, they specifically did an evening dive to see these things in their natural habitats. When mom saw it in the tank she almost lost it, she couldn't believe they were available for hobbiests
