I did a custom job on my return line but ended up drilling. heres what I did.

I purchased the "U-tube" from eshopps made for the eshopps overflow system. You can buy them separately and in different sizes. like 6 or 7 bucks. run clear vinyl tube into one end. cut the other side of the U tube that goes into the tank to your desired height. From there you can come up with your desired way of a spray bar. I was going to use vinyl tube into a barbed fitting to PVC.

oh hey i found a pic.

now you dont need the metal clamps. in fact you shouldnt use them. hope this helps. looks way better IMO goodluck!

EDIT: make sure to be aware of how deep it goes into the water, as it will siphon back water when you turn off your pump

They make glass stuff that you could use for this possibly.

They are used alot in planted aquariums called "Lily tubes"

thats what i was going to go with also. just wanted to know what can be used to hold it in place. maybe a suction cup like for a CO2 diffuser???
