Beautiful!!!! Where did you get your fowleri from? I'm local and have boon looking for a fowleri that is healthy for about 2 years now without any success.

thank you all for the feedback :). yep, that is a fowleri. picked him up locally for a great price almost a year ago. him and the maculiceps colors are becoming more striking every month. my orange shoulder tang still refuses to change colors to an adult...guess he doesn't want to grow up!

It has been my experience, and I have read from others that orange shoulders take longer to change in captivity. I wonder if it has anything to do with juvenile coloration because there is also a brown/grey version of the juvi and usually you only see yellow juvi in the aquarium trade. Maybe it is also because there is no predation, who knows.

what LFS did you get the maculiceps and fowleri from?

well the weirdest thing about my orange shoulder tang...when i bought it, it was two shades of grey! about 2 weeks later it shifted to the yellow color? Guessing captivity made him feel like a kid again.

boxers, got both of them from Exotics :)

That is the only one I have ever seen bigger than a frag. Do you have a pic of it?
