Anyibe know how much will four vue660 640 watt ballasts add to my electric bill? I'm in New York City. Thanks.

Depends how much you have them on. Nominally, they are 640w x 4 = 2560, or 2.56 kW. Look at your electric bill and see how much you pay per kw hour, multiply by 2.56 and that's how much it costs per hour

To expand on sleepy docs statement, I looked up the average electric rates in NYC which is $0.203 (http://www.bls.gov/ro2/avgengny.pdf) for 2012. Note, the 660 is 440 W not 640. Also are you getting 4 ballasts to drive 16 bulbs or 1 ballast to drive 4 bulbs? Based on that say you use all 4 ballasts 8 hrs a day on average your total would be

(4 units * 440 Wh)/1000 = 1.76 kwh
1.76 kwh * 8 hrs a day * 30 days in a month = 422.4 kwh used in a month
422.4 * $0.203 = $85.75

If you're just running 1 unit it will be 1/4 that number.
