I have been looking on line but am not finding much. I would like a large tank 72x30x24 are prefered deminsions, but as long as it is 6' long I can work with it.

Unless you find one used, you are probably either going to get an undrilled tank and have the end drilled and an overflow added, or get a custom tank made. I did mine (a 55g QT that is drilled in the end) and I have a few friends that all got tanks that weren't drilled and did their own overflow. BTW, I did mine in the end so I could do a shadow box between the tank and the wall.

Most glass tank manufactures will put the overflow where ever you want it. You just have to tell them. Glass cages does peninsula style overflows, my next tank is going to be a peninsula style.

I thought I read some where that the bottom of all large tanks are tempered and if they are dirlled on the bottom it is tempered after it is drilled. Im ok with a tank that is drilled at the end as long as it does not slow the down flow to much.

I've seen a few glass cages that were not the greatest silicone jobs but its been mostly cosmetic and I've seen really good tanks. I have friend that has a 280+ gallons set up that have been up for almost 10 years without any issues. I think a lot of people rush to set them up and you have to let the silicone cure for a few weeks.

I've owned a Glass Cages tank and have made it my mission to tell my experience to anyone who is even remotely considering them.

I wouldn't let them build a box to catch dog poop in.

A) Customer Service AFTER my credit card # was rude to non-existent
B) I arranged a pickup and a helper to load my tank on day of delivery and they called as they were "passing through" a day early. When I said I needed help (90g tank) she said, "Oh the driver can help you load it". Got there the driver was in a cast in a sling and couldn't help me.
C) The tank was slightly LARGER than specified (in writing from them). This was in a semi built-in setting... luckily the carpenter was able to modify the floor to ceiling cabinet to accomodate the larger tank.
D) Their over flow system/design sucks. If I used their overflow cover it pushed the water level up to the middle of the euro bracing. WAY to close for comfort.
E) Silicone Work - It looked like Stevie Wonder applied the silicone while swinging from a bungee cord! It took my wife and I 2 days to get it nice and presentable looking. It looks like a Silicone Bunny had puked all through the tank.
