What would be a fair price for this frogspawn? It looks like there is approximately 10-15 heads. Thanks for any help ya'll can provide. I'm trying to sell this and want to be fair in pricing. There is not a lot of people checking out the livestock trading thread.

Well you arent a store. People are going to buy from other reefers to get a deal. Otherwise theyll just go to the store and get supplies while theyre there.

In a local store around here, that would be a heck of a lot more than $30....

From a fellow reefer, i would say 50 - 60 bucks for something that size. That's nice.

Look at Liveaquaria's pricing. A small 2-3 inch frogspawn is about 40 bucks.

I guess theyre just more common in my area. I could get that for 30 easy. I suppose prices must fluctuate depending on the region.

The hard things to get where I am are nice ricordea. Youd think in FL we'd have plenty. But nope.

that would be a 25 to 35 piece down here in fla at a LFS

Todd, cant really go by Liveaquaria's pricing though. If that were the case Id be sitting on 10 grand in corals lol.

I'm in Louisiana. I've been told 5-10 a head. I was hoping to confirm that price. I know I could get around 50-75 for a LFS credit, but would rather the money now.

your best bet is to sell it locally cause a lot of reefers hate the over night shipping charges ..

I'd try to sell the whole thing for $60 and if that doesn't work frag it up and sell the pieces for $10-25 depending on the size. Down here frogspawn isn't in the stores all that often (and is usually really overpriced) so $5 a head for a nice piece isn't totally unreasonable, even if you aren't a store.

I recently paid $30 for one head of bicolor FS at the LFS. Pricy, but when you figure in the overnight shipping it actually comes out cheaper.

Then again I just got a zoa frag and a GSP sent to me from Oklahoma vis USPS two day. Much cheaper, cost me $20 total for shipping and the critters, and they both arrived alive. I realize that not all will survive that though.

Why do a lot of you think LiveAqauria is overpriced?

I read that it is one of best/top places online to buy any livestock. Everyone on RC says it's one of the best places to buy - at least that's always the response when someone asks where to buy online. (Blue zoo is another one that comes to mind.)

Not sure it would be so popular if prices were that out of whack......besides, I think going by their prices at least as a guide would be spot on for a local sale since the buyer wouldn't be paying shipping.

Anyways, I think 60 would be a fair asking price. I'd buy one that size for that price in a minute.
