I was putting the sand from TBS in my fuge while ago, which happened to be after lights out in the main tank, which has Part One in it, when I happened to look up and spot this free-swimming worm.
It is about an inch and a quarter long, and as you can see, one end is thinner and moves it about like a flagellum.

I thought at first it might be a palolo worm, but I looked that up and it isn't.

I take no responsibility if you watch any of the other videos I have on Photobucket and get offended.

:lmao:

Try looking up bristleworm epitoke.

Don't think so. It is far larger than a bristle worm epitoke and has a completely different swimming method than any epitokes I have found on the web, though some I have seen are HUGE.
Been doing a lot of checking and have no idea.
Whatever this is swims like a sperm, only going backwards, and is almost an inch and a half long.

I think I have one of those in my tank too, and saw it last night! After awhile I convinced myself it was a copepod and let it go because I could find no reference to it online either. If you discover what that is, let me know please! The one I saw was smaller than that, but swam exactly the same way.

I did the exact same thing. That video and the bear fighting video were pretty damn funny.

Looks like an epitoke to me. The fatter portion of the body is filled with eggs or sperm; the thinner anterior pair doesn't carry the reproductive products. Harmless.
