Well I'm sitting here waiting ro Echosmart utility to "recognize" my newest Radion... Been taking forever.

Anyway, I had some time to think about setup and was loooking for some feedback from the community and EchoTech.

Many of us have a pretty standard Aquascape where the depth of the tank is greater in front than it is in back. Or should I say that corals are closer to the top in back and lower in the front... So here was my thought.

My tank is 30in deep and with that the TIR lenses are suposed to help get better penetration. I (will) have two Radions over the tank so if each unit has two led arays there will be 4 in a grid/rectangle pattern. Two in front and two in back. The Tank is 48x24x30 deep. So if the corals in the back are only 12in from the surface and the corals in front are 30in from the surface, why not just install TIR lenses on the arays in front to get the penetration?

Would there be any issue with having a TIR lens on one aray on a unit and not on the other?
