I used some muriatic acid to clean up an old water tank that had calcium build up from my make up water. I cleaned it out and rinsed it well. How do i know when it is truly free of an acid, as I will be using this again for my new water.

TIA Derek

Muriatic acid is composed mainly of hydrochloric acid which is highly soluble in water. A good rinsing will ensure that it comes out.

In addition, a little bit of muriatic acid remaining in the tank is unlikely to harm anything on sand or live rock. :)
