Is anyone using the plain old filter system for drinking water on their reefs? I am talking about the ones you hook up to the faucet and use for drinking, not the RODI units.

Why.It would never keep up unless you have a 1 gallon reef. You want lots of clean water.

Maybe not the cheap facet filters but something a bit more extravagant that doesn't waste so much water and pump out very little. I was just curious to see if anyone out there was using something along those lines and how their reef is doing.

Wow....... I never thought about doing that, and I have a pool also. I could have been topping of my pool in the summer time with the waste water.
