Eshopps HOB filter vs CPR backpack with accella pump?

My CPR packpack pump died. I can get a replacement pump for about 25 bucks (the accella pump) I was also looking at the Eshopps HOB 75g skimmer which I found for 100$. I like that the pump is outside the tank, also noticed that the pump in a needle wheel which I would assume would make finer bubbles. Would it be worth the 75$ extra for this skimmer or is it even an upgrade?
