Has any one ever attempted this? I have a rsm130 with lights converted to LED and a Tunze for extra flow.

Haddoni does not require a lot of flow. It does require high light.

Has anyone kept a haddoni in a system smaller than 40 gallons?

I keep mine in a 29 gal Aquapod. It is small only 5 inches across. You can control the size of your anemone very easy if it start out small. Don't feed it and it will not grow much. Our tendency is to feed them however.

I have mine in a standard 29 gallon. I wouldn't advise this though.

Why wouldn't you advise this?

A 29 gallon tank requires a lot of upkeep in my system. 130 Litres is 34 gallons. You will spend more time cleaning & maintaining your tank than you will doing anything else. Its quite a bother actually.

IMO, the smaller the tank, the easier it is to maintain. Of course you need to keep it stable and it is hard to keep smaller tanks stable.
It is so much easier to to a 50%, or even 100% water change in a 29 g tank than 400 g tank. I have keep both and all the sizes in between. There are very few problem in keeping an aquarium that cannot be solve by water change.
