Hey guys I have been using the Kold ster-il unit for water for the past 5 years with few problems. I am looking to replace it for a rodi unit, im looking at the brs 5 stage, but know little about them. I understand that they offer zero tds, does that also mean zero phosphates? Also what can you do with the waste water, can it be fed to plants? For my water right now I just add salt and go, is it the same for RODI water or do i have to treat the water once its filtered and before i add salt?

Any information would be useful as I would like to make the switch but do not want make any mistakes that could disturb the aquarium.

Thanks!

It works the same as the kold steril in regards to mixing water but uses a membrane to separate good water from bad which rejects things such as phosphates so the water is higher quality.

The BRS is a fine unit. Go for the 75gpd.

You can do whatever you want with the waste water. It just has a higher tds then tap.

What water pressure do you have in the house?

I would consider getting a booster pump but it isn't necessary.
