felt filter?

So I've been using BRS felt filter for about 2 months. I would run one for 2-3 days then change. I then soak in bleach water, and the wife washes in in machine. My problem now is that I can only get a day or less out of my filters before they "clog" and overflow. They don't even look dirty. Any ideas as to what might be happening?

Mine do the same, I am actually thinking about buying a couple pieces of felt and making my own. I heard once made it only cost cents per sock so you can basically use and toss. I honk what happens is the poles are clo and even washing and bleach doesn't unclog the microscopic pores. Just my 2 cents.

Someone posted a link the other day to a place that sold them for about half of what you pay at a place like BRS. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I would be interested in making my own as well, if you find out any more information usmc121581.
