My tank is 29g and I have a couple spots in the tank that have a build up of detritus. Luckily theyre in spots that I cannot for the life of my get to in order to suck it out. I got a clean up crew from ************ consisting of nassarius and cerith snails and a few hermits. They have been in there for about a month in a half now and have not seemed to do anything in regards to these areas. What else can I put in there to get rid of this??

Pods & worms are your best bets. I've not seen a snail or crab eat poop, just extra food. I know people say they do, but if you watch them you'll find all they do is break it down by tromping on it or burying it when they move around. If you can get some flow to the low flow areas it's building up in, it can be removed by the skimmer or other mechanical filtration by being suspended in the water column.

I had that issue when I started out and changed my lr around in order to have no dead spots. Basically if u see it settle then that is where u have a dead stop

Blast it out with a turkey baster. Once suspended again it will eventually be grabbed by the filter system... At least that's what I do

I dont have turkey baster but i tried to stir it up with my hand. Thought i did a good job until it cleared and I only stirred the edges -_-
Ill probably try and get a turkey baster and see if that will work better, but its in a super awkward spot and im not sure it will be able to get in there any better than my siphon or hand....
Its not a huge deal, its a 2X2 square inch space wedged between some rocks in the back, but its ugly and i want it clean haha
Even the stupid snails have avoided that area so theyve been no help in breaking it all up!
