Can anyone ID this polyp? If I had to put a name to it, I'd call it a spider web anemone. The tentacles pull in and get cleaned in the center about one per minute. The whole polyp is about 4cm across, the mouth is pretty well tucked into a crevice, but is maybe 0.5cm around. Very hard to take a picture of, since it is so insubstantial, and the tentacles are transparent with little dots on them (presumably the nematocysts).

It's a rock dwelling sea cucumber/ Holothuroid. Pretty cool little filter feeders. What you are seeing when it pulls in is it feeding.

I think you are right Sugar Magnolia. The speed and coordination when it pulls in the "tentacles" seems a bit much for a hyrdozoan (they move completely independently).
