Guys, after 2 years with my aqua 1400L, apssando difficulties like most, I'll have to disassemble it unfortunately, however, I am providing a successor to him, will be lower.
*
The new aquarium will have a closed loop system, after a long time reading and researching here in the forum and in forums gringos, conbersando with more experienced aquarists, I decided to do it this way.
*
I will not use bombs circilçao, even to prevent further warming of water therefore reatore, booster pumps, skimmer already do.
*
Well, let's get to it.
*
setup
Display: 1.10 x 60x 12mm polished glass x50 borderless (rimless system)
Sump 60 x 50 40 x 10mm glass
Lighting: 3 LED modules of AI VEGA
closed loop system with six outputs, four being at the bottom of the glass, where is the second substrate and the rear glass.
Pump system:'m in doubt between a dart and reeflo reeflo snaper
Repression: Eheim compact 3000
Cooling: Hailea Chiller hc250a
Filtering: ATB skimmer w / 1000L

I think that close-up isn´t the best option actually...wavemakers and powerhead Tunze or Vortech are much better in my opinion.
The rest of proyect is very interesting.

Yano
I also really like the TUNZE and VorTech, TUNZE use in my other tank.
but the closed loop pump will be very strong, so it will not use pumps to move only if necessary.

thanks for the suggestion

are you going to use a DC pump for the closed loop so you can vary the flow?

nice looking tank.

I'll use a pump reeflo dart for the closed loop

thank you

I like the closed loop... Its what Im going to use in my next tank build... its gives good flow and can be randomized while maintaining a sleek design...

I also love the closed system mainly because of the movement that causes the water and also because they do not need to put bombs inside the display, thus with a cleaner appearance.

That reeflo snapper is severely restricted on the intake side.

Don't expect much flow because its choking on the 1/2 line.

I had to strangle the pump because the display is not great, the fact that 1/2 was the choice of personnel who designed, but I think the pump is too strong for the system, I wanted the pipeline to be 3/4 to water to pass more freely through display

First I will say that your new tank and stand look really nice.

I love the look of closed loop systems as well for the same reasons.

That reeflo snapper is severely restricted on the intake side.

Don't expect much flow because its choking on the 1/2 line.

Gotta agree with xenon on this one.

You should have made your piping larger, larger tees, and then reduced at each inlet. Your intake piping should be larger as well. I will be surprised if your pump does not cavitate with the inlet restricted this way.

I had to strangle the pump because the display is not great, the fact that 1/2 was the choice of personnel who designed, but I think the pump is too strong for the system, I wanted the pipeline to be 3/4 to water to pass more freely through display

I think the pump is fine. Especially for an SPS tank.

What are the two bulkheads in the upper corners doing? The ones that don't have any piping connected to them.

Looking good. How tall is your stand? Mine is 30 inches and I want one taller. Tours looks in the 40 inch range but can't tell on the photos.

Wavemaker.

I don't see one
Just a closed loop anf an mp 40

ricardo piza
08/14/2013, 08:47 PM
Guys, it seems that the tank this bad but the water this way because the MP40 is doing the movement of waves, along with the closed loop system.

Ok, FFrankie, tomorrow I'll post a video so you can see the movement of the water.

Your right I just looked up red hair lol. I got Cotten candy from a store by me a while back, it went away on its own after a while.

Baros

Ricardo, it looks like Asparagopsis algae. Mexican turbo snail (Turbo fluctuosa) might help, or you could try a Mespilia globulus urchin.
