So , Ive got a 39g FOWLR and something strange keep happening . Currently I have the following livestock-
1 Convict Tang
2 Sissor Tail Chromis
2 Pepermint shrimp
1 Cleaner shrimp
5 Blue leg hermit crabs
1 ( now ) emerald crab

My question , Ive got something in there that eats Chromis and crabs.I awoke one morning to find one of my Chromis missing half of its body and yesterday one of my Emerald Crabs was literallt split in half .
Have I got some sort of pistol shrimp or agressive predator that hitch hiked on my live rock ?
If so, how can I catch this killer ?

Mantis shrimp perhaps? Can you hear any clicking noise late in the evening when the lights are out?

My friend had a hitch hiker octopus in his tank! He had disappearing fish every day for a month before he finally caught a glimpse of it one night..... Then it was just him, the octopus, and a skewer spear.... Bye bye octopus, hello ink!
