I have picked out the rock to go in my tank which I'm converting from FW to marine. I'm not going to be getting the sand or powerhead for a couple of days, although the tank will have some flow in it.

Should I just be patient and wait for the sand and powerhead, or can I get the cycle started with my base rock and limited flow for now?

I figure the worst that will happen is nothing, but does anyone have any reason why this isn't a good idea?

u can go either way it wont hurt a bit. if u setup and run the tank now without sand then u will have to put it in at some point and may cause milkiness for 1-2 days while it settles. thats about it. either way cycle will start and finish on time.

Perfect, thanks. Might do the aquascaping tomorrow then!
