Hello, as for best I mean for both color and growth, but if I had to choose, I choose color. In 250 watt MH ,Radium 20k HQI, Pheonix 14k HQI, Iwasaki 14k HQI. I prefer opinions from people that have actually used them. And no thanks not interested in LED, my Radion's days are numbered, going back to MH....no, running back to MH. Thanks

Radium if you want the best. Phoenix if you want a very good bulb at a great price.

Double ended hqi, I like the phoenix. If you are running a mogul socket on an hqi ballast, then radium.

I have a 125 running 3x 250 watt radiums on m8o ballasts and have a 40 breeder running a 250 watt de phenix on m80 ballast in lumenarc mini i think, radiums are in lumenbright mini's. I don't notice much color difference, the radium has a little more blue and par is better. Not saying the phoenix doesn't have go par as I have tested a 75 gal using 2x 250 de phoenix on lumatek ballasts and pfo pendents and have just as good of par as lumenbright reflecters. I think you have a few more options going se over de reflecters, and you can get the radium and phoenix in se bulbs. I would vote radium then phoenix. I have thought about tring phoenix but not much of a price break with the se version.
