You may be able to see them in the video. They are little (but long) tentacles under my Jedi Mind Trick. I don't even know how to describe it. I thought it was maybe a sand sifting star fish, but it doesn't leave the bottom of the coral.

What is it? Does it pose a problem?

They look just like the serpent sea star's, but they don't ever come completely out. Will this be a problem?

it is the plate like coral in the center, if you fullscreen the video you can see it better.

PS.....if thats the trick....it's amazing!

Brian,

Mini stars aren't a problem at all. I had a lot of them for a long time until I got a Coris Wrasse and it ate them and all the spaghetti worms in the sand. Now I just have 2 purple/red serpent stars that are about 8" in diameter. They tend to stay under the rocks during the day and only come out part way to feed. But they do come out at night.

Mine never really come out. I just see arms waving all over the place. I think they're beneficial and good CUC members. I've never seen one cause problems in my tanks.
