1. How old is this aquarium?
3-4 years.

3. What is SG of this aquarium? How measured?
1.0245 - Glass Hydrometer

4. When was the last fish added to this aquarium?
Maroon Clown 3 years ago.

5. Was it quarantined? If so, how? And how long? Was it prophylactically treated? How?
No. Not treated.

6. If you are using a copper based medication, which one? How often do you measure level? When?
Reef tank.

8. Please describe in detail, the appearance of the fish? If there is one or more pimples, are they lumpy? What color?
Fish appears healthy other than a slowly growing spot on it's side. There is another spot in the gold region of the stripe at the clowns head. It's hard to tell if it is related to the other problem. It just looks like a spot with a few missing scales.

9. Please describe the behavior of the fish as best you can. Is it acting reclusive? Is it always up towards the top of the aquarium? Is it avoiding light? How active is the fish?
Behavior is normal. Fish eats aggressively and defends it's territory like usual. It swims out at feeding time and chases off the damsel when it gets too close to the clown's territory. Fish does not breathe heavily.

10. Is the fish eating? What?
Yes. Mysis shrimp and dried plankton.

Notes: While trying to catch the fish it swam into the net instead of the box and I had to cut the net away to get it off the fish's facial barbs. After this incident there are white patches on the clown's face and some of the fins. I'm not sure if these are abrasions from the net and handling the fish or the infection getting a foothold due to the stress.

Is it housed with any other aggressive clowns?
My GSM male gets little patches like this but it is only the female roughing him. I would maybe get some type of medicated food and use it for 30 days. Being in Detroit it is tough to to know what is avail. The reef shop that I have been going to for years has about 5 types of "Homemade" medicated food. it treats EVERYTHING & I swear by it. I had a spotbreast angel that I thought was DEAD. It was laying on it's side with an eyeball 1/2 out of it's skull. I started it on this food and within days it was back to normal. I am currently on day 8 of feeding this to my Maroons and they look great. There was nothing wrong with them but wanted to be proactive. This stuff helps with ich, bacterial, fungal etc. there are 4 or 5 different types of this food and THEY WORK. I am not sure of any off the shelf meds to try. but it is worth a shot. That & CLEAN water.
