I know this model kessil only has manual dimming adjustments. When they first come on, do you just adjust the blue to your liking or is there a preferred percentage and dim the white all way down? Also, do you just use the blue for moonlight to your preference? I guess this feature is the big difference vs. other lights, not a big deal for me.

Use strip lighting for supplemental lighting (dawn/dusk on a timer) or moonlighting. I chose the kessil because I felt no need for all the gadgetry and digital electronics that are so prone to problems. (and they look incredible)

Any pics Sensei ClamMan?

Looking at using the A350 on a 10gal Sps Frag tank. I have a Kessil 150 on a 40 breeder with LPS and a couple of Monti's and it is kicking ***. Everything in the tank loves the 150

Hi Salty,

Sorry to go a little off topic....
Can I ask which A150 and number of each over your 40 G?

Sky Blue, I think they call it a 10k but looks like a 14-15k.
Just 1 centered over my 40, works great for the lower light corals on the ends.

This is going into my 40g 36x14x19, I figured I only need one, only have few cheap corals. I don't want to run any other lighting because I like the single clean look, otherwise I'll just stick with my aquatic life with timer. Do you just turn on the blue when they first come on, white turn all way down?

Depending on your coral/rock setup you will probably need 2 just to get the coverage. One in the middle of a 36" will have very dark edges on the sides. LED's give no light overflow, they're very direct and shadowy if you know what I mean. You'll see what looks like a light triangle through the water and it's very noticeable. One will be ok if you have all your coral within the middle 24".

Im sure I'll end up getting two. I only have few corals.

i have three kessils, a350w, 350, and Ocean Blue 150.

For the 350s I just adjust it to whatever makes my corals look the best, as in what colors pop out the most.
