I bought a few live rock fragments and some of them had some interesting polyps.

I noticed this one the other day, but I can't figure out what it is. It seems to open up more at night than during the day. Maybe it doesn't like it's place on the tank. I am thinking it would prefer more shade. It is about the size of an eraser tip on a pencil.

Any ideas what this is?

After looking at an identification guide, I am wondering if it is an Orange ball corallimorph?

That's what it looks like to me. They have a powerful sting and can be a nuisance if the population gets out of control, but generally they are unobtrusive. I see them in my tank on occasion but they have never been an issue, just add bio-diversity.

I have some white ball corallimorph in my nano tank. I didnt even notice them for months because they only come out at late night. They dont seem to bother anything that I can tell, although I suppose anything in big numbers can be a nuisance. They're quite pretty and like to eat.

What do you feed them?
