Looking at adding about 5 Anthias to my tank was wondering what one is better/hardier, Dispar or Lyretail. My current set up is 255 gal display, 2 Ocellaris Clownfish, Blue Jaw Trigger pair, 2 Cardinals, Royal Gramma, and a green chromis. Want to add a couple of tangs down the road as well. Thanks for the input

I found that Lyretail were very hardy for me. I never had Dispar.

Based on what others are saying, guess I should have tried Lyretails...

FWIW, I've had some Dispar's for right at a year and really like them. They were definitely picky eaters at first. Would only eat the smallest pieces of frozen foods and then only if the food was moving quickly. After a couple months they started accepting freeze dried brine shrimp and 0.5mm NLS pellets. Now they devour any and everything offered.

Not if you like dispars better, no :) . But the OP didn't state a preference, so to that extent, lyretails are a better choice.
