What and how GFO works

Yep.. I see a lot of this term on here and have no idea what it is, how it works, and what is the benefits for it. Is it some ozonizer or carbon? Are they a must have for all tank sizes? Please explain what it is. Thank you in advance.:confused:

It depends on your system, it's used to remove PO4. Here's a good read:
