is this a brain coral???

bought this the other day and was told it was a brain coral.has not opened out yet so im lost have it on the bottom of the tank at the mo .any info would be great

Looks like favia, a type of brain indeed.

the second one is a goniopora, what color is it? the first one is a favia, since the coralites do not share the walls in between them.

google my friend will tell you everything you want to know about favia.
