I am picking up a 60" L x 36" W x 29" H AGE Hybrid tank on Sunday. I am trying to figure out what would be the best way to light the tank for my leathers, mushrooms and ricordia. I am torn between a mh/t5 combo fixture, just t5s or going leds.

Do you think one 48" Maristar II fixture would cover the tank sufficiently? Or would I be better served going with 2 fixtures?

If I went with an ATI t5 fixture with 8 bulbs at 48" long, would that cover the tank sufficiently?

I know leds aren't cheap. From looking around at the number of led units needed, I know I would be looking at rougly $2,400 worth of lights. I would need either 4 Radions or 2 GHL Mitras.

Any info you could share from experience or even opinion would greatly be appreciated.

If your contemplating 2 maristarII fixtures I think 2x400w halides like radium on a wide style reflector like lumen max (wide), any reflector will have to be high above the tank.
400w radium bulbs are cheaper than the 250w bulbs by a lot.
Maybe adding some 60" T5 for extra supplementation.

If you have the budget available I would look at the Sfiligoi fixtures, they are the only fixture that I know of that will have the spread to cover the 36". Pendants can cover it, the Lumenmax large that mike mentioned but if aesthetics are important you will have to disguise it.

fwiw, I have had 2 LumenArc Mini's over my AGE 60x26x24 sps tank.

These 2 reflectors have great light spread, and would have no problem with leathers and ricordia.

With a good reflector like that, and with the types of coral you want, I do not think a 400w bulb is necessary. even at 29", you would only need a 400w if your running SPS down in the lower areas of the tank

The 400w radium run the way its designed is only around 30w more than the 250w radium. The 250 radium runs around 330w on m-81 ballast and the 400w is really supposed to be run at 360w but can be overdriven to run at 460w on a 400w HQI ballast. HPS ballast can be used too. The lamp won't run as long but wow its awesome.lol
