I have a 180 with a marron clown and a niger. The clown has been in the tank since august and the niger end of september. The ultimate goal is undecided. When i bought tank it had several corals which are still in another tank. But now my water and the tank are ready for some corals. I also want to add another fish was thinking a blue jaw but just not sure if that would be a good idea or not. The other fish i was considering was a naso or a yellow tang to do somer grazing for me. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Thanks Jeramy

I dont think triggers and corals are a good idea.

I'm not so worried about the coral as I am the fish. If need be I will seek the coral.

Niger and blue jaw are fine with coral and usually dont tip rock over. Naso gets too large for your tank.

Naso would probably be fine as long as you start small. 180g is recommended (though minimum) for Naso's.

Naso sp. will outgrow a 180, as mentioned, so you'd need plans to re-home one if you go that route. Besides the length of the tank, you need to consider the width, the adult length of the fish, and how the tank is aquascaped. A 180 is only 24" wide, figure another 6" (at least) of rock, and an adult fish size of 16" or more, which would make it difficult for the fish to turn around.

Zebrasoma sp. would be fine in a 180 tho.
