Hi Guys

just picked up this beauty from a fellow reefer. He gave it to me as "a LPS" but it definitely looks like a chalice to me :)
since its my first chalice, does it look healthy to you? I got it 2 days ago and put it almost at the bottom of the tank to acclimate it and since I read they dont need too much light.

Should I feed it? During the day its not showing any polyps which seems weird to me but at night I caught it with full polyps out.

you feed it at night, and they are hungry corals.

I feed mine frozen mysis

They really don't show pe till night and aggressive they will sting any corals around them, I've never seen a chalice actually eat

I know that a chalice is an LPS. I just meant it was given to to me without specification, which LPS it is.
Let's see then, if it eats some brine shrimp.

nice looking chalice... make sure other fishes, snails, crabs are well fed otherwise they will try to take the food away from the chalice..

My 4 chalice feed during the day. IDK whats up with them, but they eat and seem happy. I have been giving them cyclop-eeze.

I can vouch for the addiction, but then again we have reef tanks so we're all addicted!
