I need help with my 4 Seio 820. I put them in storage for 2 years and now they won’t start. Do the impellers weaken over time? They are very clean

Welcome to Reef Central Soak them in vingear overnight and they should be ok

I got them working. I found the extra impeller that I had bought for one of the power heads. (I had forgot I swapped it back out). I works really well. When I compared the new impeller to the old ones, it seems like the blades on the new one are smaller. I found that the old ones work if I restrict the water intake. They seem to produce the same flow with the restriction. Any ideas how I could get them to run without the restriction?

Have you removed the housing so they are more horizontal than vertical, you will need the magnet for this, I have found that the Seio magnets are quite good.

Are you aware that they have a sleeve that can be rotated to increase or decrease the flow?

Yeah, that's how I was restricting the input

Have you run them in vinegar? Seio are good pumps but can run very hot, good in the winter not so in the summer.
