That's the good purple called coraline algae!

Looks like coralline algae to me as well which is a sign of a healthy tank. Congrats

I guess I don't need a protien skimmer.... After a year everything is stable... Or do I ?????? Lol

:thumbsup: definitely the good stuff :thumbsup:

and it certainly doesn't look like you need a skimmer judging from your tank's appearance and the relatively light bio load (2 fish and an anemone?). if it's working for you just keep up with regular water changes!

Tank looks horrible!!!!!! Lol. It's a biocube and needs a lot of work but I'm deployed so its basically taking care of itsself. Thank goodness for the ATO.... And chemipure lol

Definitely coraline. The RBTA looks really healthy as well. Regarding a skimmer. Maybe you don't need one now, but it would promote an overall healthier system and allow you to have a higher bioload.
