Hello all we finally decided to post some decent picks of our 30 gallon Deep Blue Rimless tank. Tank has been set up about a year now, and has gone through several different looks, but hopefully you like the outcome, and we are looking forward to your feedback.

Love the shallow reef look. What's the height of your tank?

The height is only 12 inches

Very nice. For some reason the tank looks alot bigger then 30 gallons. I am really starting to like the cubes more and more. Nice work.

Beautifully laid out hardware!! The tank also looks great and look forward to progress. Just as an FYI, those derasa's will QUICKLY outgrow the tank and they get fairly huge for a 30g when fully grown. Just lettin ya know so you don't get partial to them! I found that maxima's are much better nano clams because they grow significantly slower.

Thanks for the compliment, we are in the process of trading out one of the two derasas for another maxima in the next few days.

Thank you, the tank started with a shallow sand bed, but I ended up getting dinos, and I tried many of the recommended cures on this forum. Eventually it was just easier to get rid of the sand. As a bonus I have found that maintenance is a lot easier, nitrates are lower, and I can turn up the Vortech for higher flow.

There is probably no more than 25 lbs. The pieces were small and light, can't wait for the coral pieces to grow in.
