300 gal fish only tank
90 gal sump
protein skimmer
ocean clear canister filter
2" substrate
about 250lbs live rock
1 x koralia magnum 6 circulation pump powerhead
1 x koralia magnum 7 circulation pump powerhead
ultraviolet sterilizer light

my question is
whats the best stuff i could put to fill up
the ocean clear filter?
right now i got,
activated carbon, poly filter, bio balls, 1 liter seachem phosguard phoshate remover

someone told me that bio balls are no good and i should get rid of them
they'll get clogged and produce nitrates

Yes get rid of the bioballs!

and i just keep all thats in there right now
don't add anything
just remove bio-balls
and how long before i change the media in there

anybody
do i remove only the bio balls
and leave everything the way that it is or do i add anything or remove anything
it is aggressive fish only tank

Someone told me to put bio pellets in my
Ocean clear canister filter
But someone else told not to cause it will clump up in
There, he said I could only use it in a reactor
And that its not worther it in a fish only tank
