Heys guys. Im at the end of my cycle. My ammonia is 0 nitrites 0 and nitrates 10. Yesterday I did a 10% water change to lower the nitrates. I also added cheato. Now today I get home from work and the tank is very cloudy. And the sand and rock have stringy algea "im guessing" with bubbles on the end of them. Thats the best I can desribe it.

Hard to see from pics, but from what I gather and your description. It's Dino algae.

It looks like I have some of that algae developing in my tank. Is it hazardous or something to be really concerned about?

Some water change can be good but the main purpose is not to lower the nitrate by just 10%.
Is the logic of changing 10% of the water to get rid of 10% of the nitrate just after cycling seem logical to you?
What is the main difference between 36 and 40 ppm nitrate right after cycling, say?
