I heard from my lfs that millepora was the easiest type of acro to keep. how do you keep them? also, iks this true that they are the easiest acro to keep, if so what is? I want a branching variety if possible.

millepora are easy and should be kep in moderate flow with moderate to high lights.

If your getting into the hard corals and want a branching type I would try a branching montipora first. Moderate flow and light but more forgiving then a millipora. What is your lighting, parameters and flow like?

Wait until you get nitrates and phosphates down! Is that ph your lowest reading?

Hopefully they will. I added my sump fuge acouple days ago so that will hopefully lower them. I have a ph buffer but in all my tanks it sits at 7.8 constantly.

Here's a good article about the branching montipora mentioned above if your interested. Great starter coral.

Thanks for the info, good read. I have kept an encrusting montipora but am dropping it for the branching because i can't move any of the rox that the encrusting may take over. No chances in this hobby.
