What is the best way to regulate this ....any supplements.... and if you keep your alk in check does that balance your ph? Sorry little confused on this I just checked my dkh and it was at 10 but my ph is reading 7.4 but it is a cheap dip test strip so not real accurate
On the ph test.... the dkh was measured using api reef test kit

Get a better way to test that pH before you start fussing with it. If alkalinity is right and pH is low then the problem is dissolved CO2.

How do I treat dissolved CO2?

open windows air up the area, or buy co2 scrubber, usually installing a small fan on the sump can keep air blowing over and keep temp lower and co2 out of the way. lots and lots of air bubbles in skimmer is another way to rid co2.

And the solution is fresh air.

If your Mag. Cal. and Alk are inline, things looks happy, have a Merry Christmas. I haven't checked my PH in over a year (and only because of threads like this) and I have seven tanks. I'm going to post a thread in this forum and it might moved by a mod.
