So I had someone drill my tank for 1.5 inch overflows and 1inch returns but the bulk heads that he installed are threaded so I was wondering where do I find threaded PVC. I have found a PVC connector with a threaded end for both 1 and 1.5 inch bit they don't fit correctly. So I should just try the next size up for both of them ?

You are on the right path, you want threaded connectors. Lowes or home depot will have them. Buy a few different ones and return the ones that don't fit.

You dont need threaded PVC. The PVC should slip right into the bulkhead.

Try to find out if the bulkheads are sched40 or 80. sched 40 adapters may have some slop in a sched 80 bulkhead and a sched 80 adapter may not fit in a sched 40 bulkhead

Man, I wish you luck on the 1.5" flex pvc...I tried using it on my setup and it was just too rigid for my liking...So instead of flex pvc I used flex hose, not nearly as rigid, and a hell of a lot easier to work with

Hey thanks I am going to just use flex hose then.

So I should just find a connection pvc part that screws into my male threaded bulk head, then get some type of nipple connector for the flex hosing ?

I reduced down from 1.5" to 1.25" for the flex hose, the added a threaded barb fitting, put the end of the flex hose in a bowl of hot water for a couple seconds to soften it up, then slid if over the barb fitting...this is how i did it

Okay your out flow or is that both your return and out.

Where is your picture with the threaded overflows coming out of the tank?

Yep plus I am going to be connecting them to an external overflow box since my coast to coast overflow is supper skinny :)

Don't forget to put some hose clamps on those if you haven't already.

Well yea guess I could do something like that as well. Just drop the flex hose around the threaded bulk heads and connect them using a hose clamps.

Those are both my inlets to my sump...I may put hose clamps on there, but those are on there pretty damn tight...as soon as they cooled down, they clamped on and formed the barb they were slid on to
