Hello, i have a 30 gallon and I've had it for almost 4 months. I currently have 2 damsels and hair algae and brown algea it's starting to grow. What should i get as my cleaning crew? i was thinking 2 turbo snails as algea eaters and a hermit crab OR a cleaner shrimp instead as a scavenger?

I prefer a mix of smaller snails, but two turbos should be fine. Two hermits would help. You should also add a couple of Nassarius snails if you have a sand bed. The cleaner shrimp is great to watch but as a pure clean-up crew member not the greatest, it would be fine to have both the hermit crabs and a cleaner shrimp.

Adding snails is just a temp fix for the algae. What you should try to do is find out why you are getting the algae in the first place, and then add accordingly
Are you using tapwater instead of RODI water?
Is your main lights on too long?
Are you overfeeding the tank?
What is your phos readings
