I am considering a start over, from my current 40 and going to a 48x24 foot print tank. I haven't decided whether a standard 120 will work for me or if I want something with a little less height.

If you have a tank with this footprint and would like to share some photos of your aquascaping it would be appreciated.

My tank is 48 x 48 x 24 but I kept the rock 12 inches of the back wall so if you built the rock up against the back I think you could easily achieve something similar in look..

Here is mine its a 150 48x24x30 high a bit deep but I could get some really high stacks. Plus its a two sided view from 2 rooms.

Here's my old 150 which was 48"x32"x24". I am now of the mind that this was too much rock but it was my favorite aquascape that I achieved in the tank.

Some good stuff here. I am torn between open/sparse and the rock wall idea.

I am thinking of 2 'piles' with an angled passage between them to add some depth.

My current tank is fairly sparse and being such a small tank it has left me very little real estate for corals (12" width")

Attached is an initial thought.
