kessil a150w 10k or 15k for 20 high? or other...

I'm still trying to decide on lighting for my 20 high.... It has been running now for 2-3 weeks. I think i want some kind of LED for the lower electricity and no bulb changing and don't think i want to diy. Just want a nice fixture that will plug and play.

The kessil a150w is at the very top of my price range and seems like a great light, however it seems most think the 10k is not blue enough and the 15k is too blue... It has been hard to pull the trigger on a 225 dollar light with the fear i get the wrong spectrum.I was also considering 2 par 38 bulbs also.

Wanting to keep a little of this and that (including a bubble tip anemone) but probably no sps.*Thanks for any advice!

I have 1 par38 bulb that is 6royal blue & 6white on my 15g tall. it has only been running with a few frags & rock for about 5 weeks but it seems to be working fine. the frags seem to be getting some decent growth already.. I have a few different polyps, 2 small green mushrooms. all are still frag size. Thats about all I can offer for input, Idk too much about the actual lamp as it was a cheap craigslist buy.

i have a 20 High tank. I had a 10k kessil but sold that and now run a 15k kessil. The 15k appears more blue in the photo than it does in person and I am very happy with my decision.

Also, the tang and dwarf angel were only in there temporarily.

You might want to checkout the Chinese LED thread there's a couple pretty cheap LED fixture that seem to have proven themselves to be quality fixtures

Well I ended up ordering the 10k sky blue version... Talked to the sales rep and they were saying the 15k was really blue and they call it a "windex look"...

Hopefully I made the right choice! Looking forward to getting it in.

Good choice. They do have some blue but not too much.

Thanks! Yeah I am used to 50/50 compact fluorescent on my other tank so hopefully the 10k kessil will have better colors than that...
