Hey guys, Ive got a HOB skimmer and a HOB fuge running on my 29g reef setup and I was wondering... if my chaeto isn't tumbling in my fuge, how bad is that? the flow in my fuge is great IMO... but I'm always hearing that it would be tumbling, and even with my fuge rate being turned all the way up on the return pump... it will doesn't move the chaeto ball

There's really no room for it to tumble in the HOB fuges, I wouldn't worry about it. Mine grows just fine but it does need frequent trimming.

i have a hob fuge as well, and my chaeto doesn't tumble, it still grows pretty good. I run my fuge light 12hrs a day as well.

There is no need for the chaeto to tumble, but it is best to flip the chaeto ball over twice a week to keep it growing on the underside.
