Currently have a current nova 4 bulb t5 light on my 75 gl. tank, was wanting to add some corals to it and a friend of mine is offering to sell me his aquatic 6 bulb light would it be worth upgrading, the light was used about 6 months, have'nt done alot of research on that particular brand he was asking 250 for it Thanks for any input on it

I used the same light on my 75 with great results. I love the timer and the moon lights. The only think I would say is to update the bulbs to ATI bulbs. $250 is a great price by the way.

Guess the timer would be a plus, considering I never set one up on my lights yet, guessing new as it is the factory bulbs are still in it forgot to ask him that question

I run the 4-bulb unit with ATI bulbs and have no problems growing corals, SPS included.

Thats something else I was wondering being my present light is about a year old, of updating my bulbs before buying this one it does add two more bulbs for more lighting

Good price i paid 380 for mine that was used shortly. Had it going over a month and my clam and sps seem to like it. I would get ati bulbs though. I have it on a 75 also. Aquatic life has great customer support to.

Yes, their customer service is amazing. I had a Gen 1 fixture without the moon lights and a ballast went bad. I called them up to order a new one, they told me they would send me one for free.

They ended up sending me a whole Gen 2 fixture. Impressive to say the least.

I'd hang the fixture or get one like an ATI Supower or TEK and hang it. Its going to make your life a lot easier with a hanging fixture.

Just picked it up everything works good going to look into a hanging kit for it and also going to order new bulbs for it soon as I figure what color combo would work with what I am planning to add to my tank
