Hi,

I have been reading and studying these DIY live rocks for a while and as far as I understand real challenge is to cure them. This apparently takes time and requires loads of effort. And curing is slow because we wait the calcium within the portland cement to leach into water completely until it cause no more high PH levels.

My question is that can we not use an alternative cement such as flyash cement and avoid this long curing process?
Such as this one:

What would be the impact of this?
Would that leach into some other toxic materials?
