Had 12 heads when I got her. Last summer. Epoxied to a piece of rock. Occasionally I rotated the rock for overall coverage from my lights. Last time I moved the rock the whole clump came loose :o and went to the bottom. It had grown so much I couldn't get a hold of the skeleton. Consequently was very rough handling.... Couldn't find a place, even temporary, in my tank to place her. Finally decided to frag off a large portion. Cut off a large branch, very hesitantly, with a pair of dikes. Cut very easily. When all was said and I had touched both many times, It looked pretty sad and deflated. Also The pigment of yellow was all over my hands. I was pretty worried as She is my fav. Since then They both have exploded with growth.:) Shes bright Yellow and under the actinics the whole tank lights up around her.

Thanks for the nice comment Frank, much preciated. I have a theory why it started growing so fast. It was to the point where it had grown a full circle. There was no other room other than out. The individual heads couldn't expand anymore. The way they split to reproduce, I would assume its harder for them to split out. Now they feel open waters and their bloomin tough. Just my idea. Anyone had any similar observations? Curious how they would grow out in a natural reef? How big would the colony get. Would it get basketball sized or larger?
