Was looking around my live rock today and noticed this starburst looking thing. Am curious to know what it is and if it needs to be removed.

Hard to tell but it looks like a pest anemone, remove it or it will spread.

Hard to tell from the photo but it could be a Manjano Anemone and should be removed.
