Thanks for looking. I already bid on that but in the event I lose the bid I have found nowhere that will have one for atleast 2-3 weeks. I guess I should just go all in on my bid.

Don't get to carried away. ;) I'm in the same boat as you. 2-3 weeks isn't going to make much difference. Just do a few extra WC.

Lost the auction on ebay. I wasn't paying more for the damn thing than what It would cost me to get it in a couple weeks when its back in stock. Im not really sure why such a popular skimmer would be out of stock? It seems like hardly any lfs's carry the brand for some reason.

Did you try Marine Depot?

Tom, did you call and they verified they have them in stock? I too have been waiting on Marine Depot. I just talked to them on Wednesday and they told me expected dated was the 25th of this month. But if I can get it earlier I may order from tbaquatics.

Keep in mind that the JNS VS-1 skimmer is the exact same skimmer made in the same factory. The only thing that's different about it is the sticker on it. I had a hard time finding the Aquamaxx and when I emailed a retailer he told me about the JNS skimmer. This was a while back but I was able to find a handful of retailers with the JNS in stock. Just a suggestion for folks who are having a hard time finding an Aquamaxx which seems to be backordered fairly often.

This is still out of stock everywhere. Anyone have any insight?

I just installed a JNS which is the same skimmer with a few better mods if you ask me. collection cup is easier to adjust with a set screw and the shape of the neck offers the ability to control the foam head form wet to super dry if you wish. I painted my body black with Krylon Fusion paint.

Just set my JNS VS 1 up and the micro bubbles are insane. No chemicals or anything....should bubbles subsist in a few days? Never seen so many micro bubbles in a tank before!

Just installed my HOB-1 on my biocube.. bubbles.. too many bubbles. The thing overflows within the first 30 seconds turning it on. Found a little help here:

Hopefully will help with the micro bubble problem as well.

No overflowing for me and bubbles have settled down quite a bit. Still way too many but it's only day 2. Pulling some gunk but very watery
